In this publication, we delve into the evolving landscape of ESG practices across Asia. This addendum to our 2023 white paper, "From Uncertainties to Opportunities: How lawyers can support Asia’s transition to a low-carbon economy", provides updated insights and analysis on the progress and challenges faced by businesses in the region.
Since our last publication, significant strides have been made in decarbonisation efforts, with approximately US$840 billion invested in low-carbon technologies across Asia Pacific in 2023. This survey captures the perspectives of 93 clients, highlighting the regulatory push, the need for collaboration, and the ongoing challenges in ESG data transparency and greenwashing.
