Max is a well-known energy and shipping litigator, with clients based in maritime hubs all over the world. In the renewables sector Max has particular experience of advising on offshore windfarms.

On the shipping side, Max has many years’ experience working with owners/charterers and their P&I/FD&D clubs (representing shipping companies involved in dry bulk, containerships and all types of tankers, as well as specialist vessels such as oil spill response ships). Clients value his considerable expertise in all manner of disputes, which span the full spectrum of dry shipping. In addition to charterparty and bill of lading type disputes, Max is often instructed in relation to shipbuilding contracts.

Max's work includes non-contentious contract negotiation, working on EPIC, construction and conversion contracts, time charters and refund guarantees. Max regularly speaks at a number of industry events and provides bespoke seminars and workshops to clients.
